Best Beach Bars in Aruba (2026): 6 Favorites, Coast to Coast

A good beach bar in Aruba is about more than the drinks. It’s shade when you need it, a bathroom, a cold beer after snorkeling and a seat facing west at 6 pm. These are our picks for the best beach bars in Aruba for 2026, spread around the island so you have one wherever your day ends up.
Every bar on this list was checked against its own website or a recent listing. Hours and happy hours change, so we only include them where the bar or the tourism board publishes them, and you should check before you go.
How we picked the best beach bars in Aruba
We looked for three things: right on the sand or over the water, food as well as drinks, and something that makes each one different. We also spread the list across the island, from the north tip to the south end.
Palm Beach: the busy strip
MooMba Beach Bar & Restaurant
MooMba is the Palm Beach party bar, between the Marriott and the Holiday Inn. Days are relaxed, with food and cocktails on the sand. Nights get louder, with local bands and DJs. MooMba’s site lists bar hours running past midnight, with the kitchen open until 10 pm. VisitAruba’s 2026 happy hour guide lists a 6 to 7 pm happy hour, which lines up with sunset.
Go for: sunset drinks that turn into a night out.
Bugaloe Beach Bar & Grill
Bugaloe is built out over the water on the Palm Beach pier between the Hilton and the RIU, so you’re sitting over the water with the breeze. Aruba.com lists it as open from 8 am to midnight, with breakfast, live music daily and karaoke on Wednesday and Saturday nights. There are two happy hours, 5 to 6 pm and 10 to 11 pm.
Go for: a drink over the water. AFAR notes children are welcome, so it works for families too.
Near Oranjestad
Surfside Beach Bar
Surfside is on L.G. Smith Boulevard, on a small beach west of the airport. It faces west, so you get a proper sunset, plus planes coming in to land. Its own site lists the bar open daily from 9 am to 10 pm, wood-fired pizzas, chair and umbrella rentals, and two happy hours: noon to 1 pm and 5 to 6 pm.
Go for: an easy afternoon close to town, or a last stop before an evening flight.
North end: Arashi
Arashi Beach Shack
The Shack sits right on Arashi Beach near the California Lighthouse. It’s the easy option for food and a cold drink on that stretch, serving burgers, ceviche and fish tacos. It opens daily from morning, but closing times differ between listings, so check before a late visit. Reviews posted in 2026 show it’s still going. Aruba.com’s 2025 roundup adds restrooms, showers, umbrella and chair rentals, and live music during happy hour.
Go for: a lunch break between snorkel sessions at Arashi or Boca Catalina. If our clear boat tour leaves you wanting more of this coast, it makes an easy lunch stop afterward.
South end: Baby Beach and Savaneta
Rum Reef Cocktail Bar & Grill
Rum Reef sits above Baby Beach at the island’s southern tip. It’s adults only, with an infinity pool looking over the lagoon. Aruba.com names signature drinks like Mau’s Rum Punch and Monkey Juice. Aruba.com mentions a small fee for loungers and the pool area, and My Aruba Guide says pool access comes with a minimum spend. VisitAruba lists happy hour from 1 to 4 pm. There’s a dive center on site too, and My Aruba Guide says the venue is wheelchair accessible.
Go for: a grown-up afternoon after a morning at Baby Beach. Plan for the drive, since it’s at the far end of the island.
Zeerovers
Not a cocktail bar, but no list is complete without it. Zeerovers is a working fish pier in Savaneta where you order the day’s catch at the counter, it’s cooked in front of you, and you eat it with a cold beer looking at the water. Aruba.com lists the kitchen as open 11 am to 9 pm and closed Mondays. It’s cash only.
Go for: the most local lunch on the island, shared with a mix of locals and visitors.

- La Cabana Pata Pata, Eagle Beach: 2 to 6 pm and 10 to 11 pm

A few tips
- Happy hour is a big deal here. Most beach bars run at least one, often timed to sunset. Plan your evenings around them.
- Bring cash for the local spots. Zeerovers doesn’t take cards.
- Don’t drink and drive. The south-end bars are a long drive from the hotels. Pick a driver or take a taxi.
- Hydrate. The trade wind keeps you cool, so it’s easy to underestimate how much sun and rum you’ve had.
We left off places we couldn’t confirm are still operating in 2026. If a favorite of yours is missing, that’s why.
