Clear Boat vs Clear Kayak in Aruba: Which Is Better for You?

Both give you that see-through view of the water. They’re very different days, though.
Clear kayak
You paddle yourself, usually in a two-person kayak with a guide. Most tours in Aruba are about two hours, often in the mangroves or at night with LED lights under the kayak.
- Good for: active couples, people who want a workout, night tours
- Less good for: small kids, older travelers, anyone with a bad back or shoulders
Clear boat
A captain drives, you sit back. The clear boat covers more ground in 1.5 hours, so you see three different spots: a shipwreck, a reef cove and the turtle area, with snorkel stops at each.
- Good for: families, mixed-age groups, non-swimmers, people who want the turtles
- Less good for: anyone who specifically wants to paddle

Our take
If you’re traveling with kids or grandparents, or you want to snorkel with turtles, the clear boat is the easier day. If you’re two fit adults who want something active, the kayak is fun too. Plenty of people do both.
