What to Bring on an Aruba Boat or Snorkel Tour
You don’t need much for a 1.5-hour clear boat trip. Here’s the list we’d give a friend.
Bring
- Swimsuit, ideally worn under your clothes
- Towel
- Reef-safe sunscreen. Put it on 20 minutes before you board so it soaks in. Aruba has restricted sunscreens containing oxybenzone.
- Sunglasses and a hat
- Phone in a waterproof pouch for floor shots and turtle photos
- Cash or card for the balance on the day
Already on board
- Snorkel gear
- Life jackets
- Bottled water and soda
Leave at the hotel
- Strollers (the boat isn’t stroller accessible)
- Valuables you’d hate to get wet
- Your own snorkel set, unless you prefer it
One more tip
If you get seasick easily, choose the morning departure, eat something light beforehand, and sit toward the middle of the boat.
